Conversation with the future mother - Wiep Boers

What sSynonyms of motherhood? Love from A to Z. unconditional, warm, infinite. On the occasion of the coming Mother's Day, we met with our friend Wiep Boers, who will soon become a mother. We talked about pregnancy, expectations, her mother and advice for the future ones.

First of all, how do you feel? 🙂

WB: In general, I feel very good, but I start to notice that these are the last weeks of my pregnancy journey. Sleep has a great impact on how I feel the next day and differs depending on the night, but fortunately I don't complain. There are still a few weeks until delivery.

How did you pass the first months of pregnancy?

WB: The beginning was really heavy, mainly because I was often sick, I was also extremely tired. When it comes to food, I really wanted to sStep. When I looked at the vegetables, I was nauseous again, haha. In addition, they were the most intense weeks at work, but I tried to sleep whenever I could and then everything was regulated. I also told my supervisor about the situation, which from the beginning was understanding, which helped a lot. Then, fortunately, after about 16 weeks I started to improve slowly, and I started recovering energy.

What surprised you? What did you not expect and how did you deal with it?

WB: honestly mSiming, everything! I was very surprised how little you learn about pregnancy and the development of the child. I learned all this from my own body. Your body undergoes so many changes, and of course it looks different for every woman. To deal with it, I read blogs, columns and sI looked into the podcasts. I am preparing for delivery from the course, but I don't want to know some things, I don't have to know everything in the smallest detail.

Did you find any ritual during pregnancy? Something that calmed you down?

WB: At the beginning I didn't know what my body likes and what not, but I tried to listen to my body and understand it. Besides, I try to practice every day, usually są these are short walks once or several times a day. I used to practice at least 3-5 times a week, but now I really need it and accept it. I also try to pamper, walking on massages, using oils for pregnant women, taking warm baths and enjoying my boyfriend's daily massages! <3

What advice would you like to pass on to your child from your mother?

WB: My mother thinks that it is important that I be myself and remain myself, and not pretending to be someone else for other people, and I would definitely like to convey it to my little daughter.

What is your mother like?

WB: My mother is the nicest and the most sincere woman I know, and I'm not exaggerating at all. Sometimes I wonder how she can always be so good for everyone, but it's her character and I would like to be like her. He is always for his loved ones, he never complains, he always looks for opportunities to help others, and at the same time is very calm. I envy her this weather, but I'm learning all the time!

What is your favorite childhood memory?

WB: All holidays with my family, playing outside with my brother, he always wore my clothes, and I wore my mother's clothes. Best time!

What advice would you like to give future mothers?

WB: SRoll your body, you now go through many changes and it's ok! It is so difficult to accept that your body is changing and that you cannot do everything as easy as before (it was the most difficult for me), but try to accept it. This is a special time, you finally carry a new life, created by you and your partner. Oh, and be sure to take great pregnancy photos, you won't regret it!

We are looking forward to meeting my daughter Wiep. We wish her and all the best mothers in the world!
